In Georgia, one out of four children live in a “food insecure household.” This accounts for 20% of Georgia’s children.
Experts say the pandemic has only intensified the problem.
Recently, the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation launched a new initiative, the Georgia Oasis Food campaign, which will give grants to local non-profits addressing food insecurity.
On Monday’s edition of Closer Look with Rose Scott, Abby Lutzenkirchen, Program Associate for the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, joined the program to share more details.
