SK Innovation’s Georgia Battery Plant To Employ 1,000 Workers By End Of Year

SK Innovation’s massive Georgia battery plant is back on track after settling legal disputes over alleged stolen technology.

The South Korea-based manufacturer is building two plants in Jackson County, northeast of Atlanta, to make batteries for electric vehicles.

SK Innovation is hiring hundreds of employees to staff the first plant in all areas of operations, including maintenance, logistics, finance and human resources. The company currently employs 250 in the facility.



The manufacturer plans to have 1,000 employees by the end of the year, according to a news release. By the end of 2023, it plans to employ 2,600 American workers.
