Dr. Rodney Carr, the vice president for Student Success at Valdosta State University (VSU), says more than 67,000 Georgians are choosing to attend online colleges that are outside of The Peach State.

Carr, a guest on Thursday’s edition of Closer Look,” told show host Rose Scott that VSU is working to change that enrollment figure with the university’s new college, Online College for Career Advancement.

Carr, who serves as the director of the new online college, talked about the growing demand for online learned and said that VSU’s new online college offers several degree programs and that the school’s tuition is affordable.

“What we wanted to do is take down every single barrier that we could think of that could stop you, and when say, it’s $299 per credit hour and when you sign up for x  number of credit hours, multiple that by $299, that’s the bill you pay, ” explained Carr.
