Jennifer Ball, the vice president of the economic development and planning at Central Atlanta Progress, says Atlanta needs culture, development and all the things that make downtown Atlanta a place of choice for residential development and growth.
A $900,000 planning grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation is expected to be used toward “The Stitch,” a proposal to transform and connect 14 acres of land, near the I-75/I-85 Downtown Connector between the Civic Center MARTA Center, into urban green space and affordable housing.
“We are sticking the city back together, we are reconnecting these streets and these blocks that were disconnected,” said Ball.
