African American Writers Emerging In Science Fiction Literature

This weekend in Atlanta, in case you notice the sudden arrival of superheroes, video game characters, hobbits and warlocks…Dragon*Con is underway.

Besides enthusiasts, the annual multi-media and pop-culture convention features experts and notables in literature, film, video gaming, art and music associated with the fantasy and Sci-Fi world.

The convention attracts a very diverse crowd and there’s an emerging presence of minorities within the industry. Writers, Ytasha Womack and the husband and wife team of Tony Puryear and Erika Alexander talk about their works.
