Alfred Uhry Reconciles Apples & Oranges
Alfred Uhry has an impressive list of credentials. The Atlanta-born author and playwright won a Pulitzer Prize for his play “Driving Miss Daisy,” and an Academy Award for the screen adaptation, which starred Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman. He’s also won several Tony Awards and now he’s come back home to the Alliance Theater for the world premier of his new play “Apples & Oranges.” The show stars Patricia Richardson and Tony Carlin as estranged siblings. Uhry stopped by our studios to speak to WABE’s Lois Reitzes about the show.
Apples & Oranges is on the Alliance’s Hertz Stage through October 28th. More information on the Alliance’s website.
