Another Metro Atlanta Indie Bookstore Looks for a Savior

In mid-September, 2013, the owner of the East Atlanta independent bookstore Bound to Be Read announced he’s putting the store up for sale.
Jeff McCord has kept the store going for eight years, but he says personal considerations make it impossible for him to continue.
McCord talked with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer about his decision, his search for a buyer, and the continuing struggles of independent booksellers.
