APEX Museum Gearing Up To Reopen To The Public This Weekend

Atlanta’s oldest Black history museum is slated to reopen this weekend.

After being closed for more than five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlanta’s oldest Black history museum is gearing up to reopen this weekend.

Dan Moore is a veteran filmmaker and the founder and CEO of the APEX Museum. Moore joins “Closer Look” to discuss the history and mission of the museum.

Dan Moore, the founder of The African American Panoramic Experience Museum, also known as The APEX Museum, says the health and safety of museumgoers is his top priority, and the facility will open to the public on Saturday with several safety measures in place.

On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” Moore talks with the host about reopening plans. He also discusses the museum’s history and mission and its responsibility during the current racial climate in Atlanta.
