When artist Preston Zeller‘s brother died in 2019, the grief that entered his life spurred a new chapter of creative output … one to which he committed fully in order to process his loss.

Zeller painted a new canvas every day for an entire year, documenting the process in a film called “The Art of Grieving.” His documentary is out now on Amazon Prime.

In this interview, Zeller joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to speak more about the film and the art of grieving.

“If I can have this conversation with people, and then they can have these conversations with others, hopefully it could create a snowball effect,” says Zeller.
