This week has been a historic week in politics. Democrats in Georgia are a united front in support of Vice President Kamala Harris leading the party on the ballot this November.

President Joe Biden has officially endorsed Harris for the 2024 presidential campaign. He did so minutes after he announced he was dropping out of the race on Sunday. But are all Democrats in Washington all-in for Harris?

Georgia U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff joined WABE’s “Morning Edition” to give a temperature check from Washington.

He also discussed the latest updates from his U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Human Rights on Georgia’s 6-week abortion ban. Georgia doctors and medical experts testified in front of Ossoff in Decatur on how they say the state’s 6-week abortion ban poses dangers to women’s health.

The OB-GYNs testified that the ban continues to risk the health of pregnant women who face complications and is worsening the state’s shortage of OB-GYN doctors.
