ASO Musicians Announce Agreement with Management
Late Tuesday afternoon, musicians with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), issued a news release announcing that they had accepted a collective bargaining agreement with ASO management.
The news release, issued by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Players Association (ASOPA), says the agreement will run through September 2014.
The release also says the musicians are accepting more than $5 million in concessions over the two-year period.
An ASO spokesperson said she could not comment on the news release or confirm the agreement. ASO President Stanley Romanstein was not available due to the Yom Kippur holiday.
