Allison Hill is a philanthropist, social impact executive, mother, and now author of her first children’s book, “Lolly the Left Out Lobster.” She released her debut children’s book on May 13 of this year with illustrator Sandie Sonke.

The book follows the story of Lolly, a young lobster who gets swept out of her home in the ocean and into the unfamiliar setting of a woodland. Lolly’s unique appearance leads readers to explore inclusion, courage, and empathy.

Hill is a Buckhead-based social impact executive who published her first book, “Feeding Family, Feeding America,” with the help of her entire family during the 2020 pandemic. 100% of the proceeds went towards feeding families around the USA.

“City Lights” producer Jacob Smulian spoke with Hill via Riverside about her new book, the trials of mothering adult children and much more.
