An Atlanta-based chef says Thanksgiving dinner is always about the side dishes and the desserts.

Chef Terrel, a guest on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” told show host Rose Scott that her love for cooking and mixing ingredients, making dressing, started when she was five years old.

“I was always like my mom’s sous chef in the kitchen,” said Terrel.

During the conversation, Terrel talked about healthy Thanksgiving recipes, Turkey substitutions and her favorite cauliflower mac and cheese.

Rose also invited two of her WABE colleagues to the discussion, and they shared their Thanksgiving traditions.
