The National Endowment for the Arts is the federal agency that allocates arts funding and determines major objectives and areas of focus for supporting artistic opportunity and celebrating achievement across the country.
Every year, the NEA convenes the National Council on the Arts, a series of panel discussions and committee votes that determine how arts funding will be directed for the following period.
The NEA invited one of Atlanta’s performing arts changemakers to participate in a panel discussion at their recent meeting on March 27 – Kerry Lee, professional dancer and co-artistic director of the Atlanta Chinese Dance Company.
