Keisha Sean Waites is stepping down from her seat as the Post 3 At-Large member of the Atlanta City Council. Waites says she campaigned on being accessible and transparent and says it has taken six months to decide that she should step down. The decision comes halfway through her first term.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Waites spoke with show host Rose Scott about her decision to transition from a lawmaking role to run for the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts, where she says she can change internal policies.
