Atlanta leaders address main breaks as crews work to repair and restore water

Crews are working to repair a water main break at 11th and West Peachtree Street in Atlanta. Mayor Andre Dickens and other city officials don’t know exactly when the repairs will be complete.

During a press conference on Monday morning, the mayor apologized after water main breaks left thousands without water over the weekend. He issued a state of emergency and officials confirmed water will be restored once the break is fixed.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott reported on the latest from Mayor Dickens, Al Wiggins, who serves as the Commissioner for Atlanta’s Department of Watershed Management, Atlanta City Council member Liliana Bakhtiari and Atlanta City Council President Doug Shipman.
