Atlanta multi-genre musician Mondaii encourages fans to follow their daydreams
On City Lights’ series “Speaking of Music,” local musicians share work and stories in their own voices. In today’s segment, we feature Atlanta musician Mondaii.
“I would describe my music as ‘feel-good music,” because that’s what I like to do when I’m creating it,” Mondaii said.
“And if we’re talking about genres, I create it all, from Hip-Hop to R&B to pop to alternative, even country…whatever the message calls for that I’m delivering at that time.”
As a child, Mondaii would watch popular TV shows like TRL, MTV and 106 & Park and dream of being one of stars she saw on the screen, like TLC, Michael Jackson and Eminem.
“I later got my start professionally in 2017,” says the musician. “I was discovered by renowned R&B songstress K. Michelle.”
Because of the blessings and opportunities Mondaii has received in his life, he wants to motivate his fans (who he calls “the daydreamers”) to keep dreaming and believing beyond their circumstances.
“I like to believe we serve a God that is almighty and nothing is too big for Him,” the artist reflected.
