On City Lights’ series “Speaking of Music,” local musicians share work and stories in their own voices. In today’s segment, we feature Atlanta musician Nicodagoat

“I would describe my music as therapeutic. I like to help people feel like they’re not going through whatever they’re going through alone because that’s what music did for me,” Nicodagoat said.

Nicodagoat got started making music in 6th grade with his first written rap for a school project. His love for writing has grown ever since.

“It’s kind of like a puzzle, making the sentences rhyme,” he said.

His first song dropped eight years later in 2019.

The artist says he would like to improve the world by helping people through their problems through his music.
