Atlanta restaurants to debut in Michelin Guide this fall
Michelin recently announced that its famous dining guide will soon feature Atlanta restaurants.
Starting this fall, anonymous Michelin food critics will award stars to Atlanta restaurants based on their food quality and service.
Inspectors will use Michelin’s historic methodology rating to judge restaurants on factors such as the quality of products, the harmony of flavors, the mastery of cooking techniques, the voice and personality of the chef reflected in the cuisine and the consistency between each visit and throughout the menu.
On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Beth McKibben, the editor of food publication Eater Atlanta, talked with show host Rose Scott about the significance of the guide coming to Atlanta and shared rating predictions from Eater Atlanta readers.
McKibben also talked about how Atlanta’s diverse population influences the city’s food culture.
“There are people from all over who live here,” McKibben said. “They inform our dining, they inform our culture.”
