Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Offers Free Tickets to Furloughed Employees
Starting Thursday, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is offering free tickets this weekend for veterans, military families, and furloughed federal employees. The ASO says the offer will stand, even though the partial shutdown of the federal government has ended.

The offer is good through Saturday’s performance. ASO president Stanley Romanstein says Friday night’s show will feature a well-known headliner.
“We actually have Chris Mann, for fans of The Voice, who watch that great television show, and Chris Mann will be performing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra,” he says.
The ASO has recently struggled with finances as it tries to close a big deficit. But Romanstein says that wasn’t a deterrent.
“Despite the financial situation, we feel like it’s the right thing to do,” Romanstein says. “It’s a way to honor people in our community who are contributing to the common good, who are working for everyone’s benefit.”
Tickets can be redeemed at the Woodruff Arts Center box office with a valid military or employee ID.
