Atlanta’s Celli Play 6 Straight Hours To Benefit Peace Of Thread
Mice is the plural of mouse, geese is the plural of goose and celli is the plural of cello.
Here in Atlanta, Celli is also a group of four female cellists who had so much fun playing together in groups like the Savannah Philharmonic that they decided to form their own ensemble.
Tonight, Celli will host a six-hour play-a-thon to raise money for Peace of Thread, a nonprofit organization empowering refugee women by providing basic job and language skills. Celli member Erin Cassel spoke with Lois Reitzes on “City Lights” about Peace of Thread ahead of tonight’s fundraiser.
The Celli-Thon will be livestreamed via the group’s Facebook page, but those who pledge at certain levels are invited to the evening’s secret location.
