Atlanta chamber choir Coro Vocati proposes a musical tour of European art with compositions reflecting works from Leonardo Da Vinci’s flying machine to Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
One of the composers commissioned for Coro Vocati’s “The Art and The Artist” is Brandon K. Smith. He joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes in studio along with the group’s artistic director John Dickson. The concert melds music, art and poetry to show audiences the power of inspiration.
“The Art and the Artist” will be performed Saturday at Morningside Presbyterian Church and Sunday at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
