August Wilson comes Full Circle at the Alliance

Two directors bring the Alpha and Omega of Wilson's “Pittsburgh Cycle” to Atlanta.

– August Wilson spent the last twenty five years of his life completing ten plays dubbed the 'Century Cycle.' Set largely in Pittsburgh, each one takes on a decade of the 20th century, weaving character arcs and family lines into a tapestry of the African American experience. The first and last plays in that cycle close at the Alliance Theater this weekend, and here, WABE's Lois Reitzes speaks with both directors about what Wilson is saying about where we've been and where we are going.
