Award-winning short film 'Mi Casa' takes on ghostly family and home theme on HBO Max

Themes of family love and the meaning of home take on a supernatural resonance in a recent short film by Cafecito Productions. “Mi Casa” stars Atlanta-based actor and producer Erika Miranda.

Recent works by Miranda’s Cafecito Productions team are bringing national attention to Atlanta’s Latinx film talent. “Mi Casa” is streaming now on HBO Max after winning the 2021 Latinx Short Film competition, and Miranda has several more projects in development.

In this interview, Erika Miranda spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about her new production.
