New Trinity Baroque opens their 2007-8 Season with the “Best of Baroque”

– One of Atlanta's leading Baroque ensembles,

New Trinity Baroque,

will open its ninth season this Saturday with a concert titled “Best of

Baroque.” On the program are familiar pieces such as Bach's “Air on the G

String” and Handel's “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” from Solomon along

with arias sung by Farinelli and Geminiani's La Folia concerto. In

March of 2008 New Trinity Baroque will be celebrating their 10th anniversary.

The first concert were performed in March of 1998 at London's St. Martin in the

Fields. Continuing to expand their repertoire and audience reach, they

will be making debuts at Spivey Hall and Charleston's Piccolo Spoleto in the

spring of '08. The founder and Artistic Director of New Trinity Baroque,

Predrag Gosta, stopped by WABE to chat with Wanda Yang Temko.
