The founder of a chain of senior living facilities across the country says her father celebrated his 90th birthday in a giant Zoom room.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Patricia Will, founder and CEO of Belmont Village Senior Living, says her father is like many other Belmont Village residents who are adapting to the ever-changing times prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Despite all of the changes, all of the difficulties and all of the protocols, our seniors are really remarkably resilient,” said Will. “They have been through the wars, some have been through prior pandemics, and they’ve demonstrated to us that there is always a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. And for them, it is the vaccine.”
Will told show host Rose Scott that Belmont Village was founded in 1997 and has two facilities in Atlanta and a total of 31 locations throughout the country.
“Of those, 30 will have completed their first vaccine clinic today,” Will said.
