Book Recounts the Good, the Bad, and the Unusual from Baseball’s ‘Golden Age’

Major League baseball as it was played and managed in the 1940’s was vastly different than the game we know today.

Decatur, Georgia author Robert Weintraub revisits that era, and 1946 in particular, in his new book, “The Victory Season:  The End of World War Two and the Birth of Baseball’s Golden Age” (Little, Brown and Company, 2013).

A conversation with author Robert Weintraub.

The author will make an appearance at the Decatur Library on Monday, April 15, at 7 p.m.
