Beginning this year, queer theater throughout the country has a new platform in Atlanta. Lavender Fest hosts its inaugural showcase at Out Front Theatre from June 19 through 23rd, and will bring a diverse selection of new theatrical works by independent queer writers and performers, celebrating the bold and the experimental from underrepresented communities.

One of the featured plays is “Strings Attached” by the Atlanta-born playwright and actor Chayton Pabich Danyla, who joins Lois Reitzes of “City Lights” to share more about his premiering piece.

Ty Autry, the founder and director of Lavender Fest, joins the conversation as well.
