Chick-fil-A continues its ascent of the fast-food hierarchy, landing as the third-highest grossing restaurant franchise in the country on Restaurant Business Magazine’s annual rankings.
The Atlanta-based chicken chain’s $11.32 billion in revenues for 2019 pushed it past Taco Bell and Subway, according to the estimates compiled by industry research and consulting firm Technomic.
The report lists a few of Chick-fil-A’s 2019 additions — dine-in mobile ordering, eliminating antibiotics from its supply chain and adding mac and cheese to its menu — among the potential reasons for the company’s growth, which included a 13% increase in sales.
