"Sunny and Oswaldo" is a story of friendship, family, and the importance of empathy by award-winning author Nicole Melleby. (Illustrated by Alexandra Colombo)

“Sunny and Oswaldo” is a new children’s book by Nicole Melleby with illustrations by Alexandra Colombo. The story of a little girl and a cranky cat introduces young readers to deeper issues surrounding mental health.

“People consider those sorts of issues as adult issues, and they’re not. They are very much just people issues, and kids are dealing with it just as much,” says Melleby.
