CHRIS 180, a nonprofit providing trauma-informed behavioral health services and wraparound support, is expanding its in-person and virtual training program across seven Southeastern states, including Georgia.
The various courses are designed to help parents, teachers, social service professionals, and licensed therapists better recognize and address a range of mental health and social issues, according to a press release.
“Our goal with these courses is to provide caregivers with the tools needed to provide the best care to their patients and clients,” said Anne Connell, chief clinical officer at CHRIS 180. “By offering top-notch training, we can support those in a mental health crisis and provide the best foundation to those in the role of caregiver.”
The offerings cover trauma, self-care, sexuality, program management, supervision, and trauma-informed leadership. The challenges facing children and adults evolve constantly, and these courses offer the “leading practices” in their fields.
Many of the courses count towards continuing education for participants who need education hours. Other courses provide an education on topics essential to mental health caregivers or program managers.
