Farmers Markets Group Creates Online Ordering To Sell Local Produce Safely, Effectively
Atlantans can get items from their favorite farms at several pickup points in the area.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, fresh produce and meat have been more difficult to find in grocery stores. Food distributors and supply chains are working tirelessly to keep up with the increasing demand.
Food industry workers remain vigilant to protect themselves and others who shop at these stores.
An alternative to shopping indoors is to order online from your local farmers market.
Community Farmers Markets has created a virtual farmers market, where shoppers can order local and organically grown produce.
“Our farmers are growing more. They’re harvesting week to week, so you’re always able to get what you need at the local farmers market,” said Katie Hayes, executive director of Community Farmers Markets. “City Lights” producer Summer Evans spoke with Hayes via Zoom.
Shoppers can select from several different farms (a la carte) to create their own personalized pickup orders. They can also select their preferred pickup day and location.
CFM’s online ordering is open starting at 10 a.m. Wednesdays through 10 a.m. Fridays.
Days and locations for pickup:
- Ponce City Farmers Market pickups occur on Tuesdays.
- Decatur Farmers Market and Oakhurst Farmers Market pickups occur on Wednesdays.
- East Atlanta Village Farmers Market pickups occur on Thursdays.
- Grant Park Farmers Market has been moved to the Beacon and is open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
