Dad’s Garage Celebrates 25 Years With 25 Hours Of Streaming Content
Atlanta comedy staple Dad’s Garage is celebrating its 25 anniversary with a 25-hour long live streaming event. Dad’s Garage was founded by a group of college students in 1995, with the goal of creating a theater and comedy venue unlike anything before it.
Since it’s start, Dad’s Garage has gone through quite a bit of change, including moving to the location that it now occupies.
The streaming event begins at 8 p.m. on Aug. 7 and will run through 9 p.m. on Aug. 8. The event will feature much of what Dad’s Garage has become known for, including improv, rebroadcasts of favorite productions, and a deep look at the history of the venue and the organization.
Artistic Director Jon Carr and long time ensemble performer Amber Nash spoke to “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about the event and the history of Dad’s Garage.
