At least 72,000 people are expected to gather this weekend in downtown Atlanta for #Dragon Con 2024. The annual five-day event is one of the largest multi-media gatherings focusing on pop culture, gaming, comics, fantasy and more. The programming lineup includes workshops, an art show and a parade.

On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott speaks with several writers, an actress and a director about how comics and film reflect modern society and politics. Panelists then chime in on the longstanding debate: Star Wars or Star Trek? The show concludes with a costume/cosplay contest.
