The comedian, writer, director and producer Neal Brennan joined us almost exactly one year ago while touring his live stand-up show, “Unacceptable.” Now, the show has evolved into a hilarious and exceptionally intimate Netflix special, expanded and retitled “Blocks.”

In this interview, the long-time “Daily Show” writer, “Chappelle’s Show” producer and contributor to numerous film and tv comedy treasures since the 1990s spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about his career and new comedy show.

“There’s a joke that I’ve never been able to do, which is: ‘I hate hypocrisy, but in my case, I’ll make an exception,’” Brennan quipped.
