Emory Chamber Music Society Presents 2021 Virtual Stage Performances, Bach Lunch Series

The Vega String Quartet, with guest first violinist David Coucheron, performed the first of the Bach Lunch Series on Jan. 22.

Emory Chamber Music Society

Will Ransom, a concert pianist and Emory University professor, has continuously found ways to make classical music more inclusive and widely available to Atlantans, often free of charge.

Ransom is founder and director of the Emory Chamber Music Society. He joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes via Zoom to talk about their new 2021 season.

This season will continue with virtual stage performances, recorded projects, a Family Series, a Cooke Noontime Concert Series at Emory and a Bach Lunch Series.

“Adapt is the name of the game, and I feel like we’ve done a really good job. Despite all the various restrictions in many different ways, whether it’s legal or just health-wise or technological, we found a way to keep the music playing. And I feel really good about the quality of our performances and our programs as well. I don’t think we’ve missed a beat,” said Ransom.

Their spring 2021 concert schedule can be found here.
