This musical edition unfurls a decades-spanning tale of love and resilience, and one woman’s journey to independence. Facing many hardships in her life, Celie ultimately finds extraordinary strength and hope through the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood.
City Lights host and executive producer Lois Reitzes will introduce the film and other members of WABE will be on hand for a post-screening meet and greet.
