Expanding Products And Services: Mailchimp Co-Founder On $12 Billion Intuit Acquisition

Intuit Inc., a Silicon Valley financial software company, is set to purchase Mailchimp for $ 12 billion. Ben Chestnut, the CEO of Mailchimp, discusses the acquisition and how it will position the Atlanta-based email marketing company to expand and serve more customers.

Ben Chestnut, the co-founder and CEO of Mailchimp, says he’s excited about the company’s new partnership with Intuit Inc.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Chesnut confirmed that the Silicon Valley financial software company is set to purchase Mailchimp for $12 billion.

“Mailchimp is going to be a brand within the Intuit portfolio,” Chesnut explained to show host Rose Scott.



Chesnut further explained that under the acquisition, small business customers will be able to grow their businesses and have access to Mailchimp and Quickbooks.
