Falcons’ First Home Game Comes With New Bag Policy Roll Out
The Atlanta Falcons play their first home game Sunday at 1 p.m. against the St. Louis Rams at the Georgia Dome, and with that comes the big roll out of the NFL’s new rules on bags.
The stadium rules require all bags larger than a hand purse be clear and 12-by-12-by-6 inches or smaller.
Georgia Dome’s Jason Kirksey said the dome and the Falcons have been sending out emails and using social media to inform fans.
“We’ve tried anything and everything we could to make sure fans know about the policy including a pop up on gadome.com, so it’s the first thing you see,” Kirksey said. “We just want to make sure everyone knows about this policy and prepares for it in advance as much as possible.”
Kirksey said a lot of people showed up to the first preseason game, when the new rules first rolled out, unaware of the new rules, though he doesn’t expect a problem Sunday.
He said all people carrying bags that don’t comply will be turned away.
