There are many concerts around Atlanta each holiday season, and the “City Lights” gathered a list of a few performances this month.
List of concerts featured in episode:
- Atlanta Women’s Chorus’s show “Holiday in the Movies” is Dec. 7 at Church at Ponce and Highland at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus’s Holiday concert is Dec. 20-21 at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
- “Rick Ross: A Holiday Affair” is a one-night-only performance with Grammy-nominated rapper Rick Ross and the Atlanta Pops Orchestra on Dec. 29 at Atlanta Symphony Hall.
For 17 years, Jeffrey Bützer and T.T. Mahony have performed “A Charlie Brown Christmas.“ The jazz combo is performing Vince Guaraldi’s classic soundtrack to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at multiple venues throughout the month of December.

The 13th annual “Holiday Hootenanny” is Dec. 22 at the Variety Playhouse. This concert pays homage to the late Col. Bruce Hampton with performances by local musicians, with some out-of-towners. All proceeds benefit Atlanta’s Habitat for Humanity.
