First phase of Auburn Avenue revitalization project aims for summer completion

The Historic Development District Corporation is revitalizing the Auburn Avenue neighborhood with affordable housing options, commercial leasing, a rooftop garden and more.

The project is called Front Porch on Auburn. The first phase, which cost $37 million, is expected to be completed this summer. 

Cheneé Joseph, who serves as the CEO and president of the HDDC, was a guest on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”  She talked with show host Rose Scott about Auburn Avenue’s legacy and the importance of preserving it. She also gave updates on the Front Porch on Auburn and several other revitalization projects.
