More than 100 Morehouse College students were displaced by flooding Tuesday night.

According to the college, a pipe burst in a residence hall, severely affecting 15 rooms. The incident happened at Graves House, Morehouse’s oldest dormitory, at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Water spread to rooms and common areas, and the building was evacuated, officials said.

Students were relocated to unoccupied rooms in other residence halls temporarily.

Morehouse officials say the American Red Cross is assisting with property losses including books, electronics, clothes and shoes.

The college says donations can be made by contacting the Department of Housing and Residential Education at 404-215-2634 or 470-639-0519.
