Former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are scheduled to speak about the economy and wage disparities Tuesday at a conference in downtown Atlanta.

Another topic Clinton and Carter may discuss: the contentious presidential race. Carter has yet to officially endorse the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president, Hillary Clinton.

Their conversation is the headline event at Clinton Global Initiative America, a domestic arm of the Clinton Foundation.

“President Clinton created CGI America in 2011 as a means of addressing the economic consequences of the Great Recession, said Bob Harrison, president of the Clinton Global Initiative.

The nonprofit directs funds to various projects, like one at Atlanta’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. The church will look at ways it can be more energy efficient, according to the Rev. Raphael Warnock.

“The irony of climate change is that while it impacts all of us, it disproportionately impacts poor, marginalized, black and brown communities,” Warnock said.

The conference is at the Marriott Marquis.
