Fulton Board Moves Mystery Company Project Forward
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to craft a memorandum of understanding between the county and project developer Majestic Realty that could help bring an unidentified company and hundreds of jobs to the metro Atlanta. As heard on radio
While the identity of the company has not been made public, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners heard a preliminary development proposal at its board meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Currently there’s no official agreement between the two parties.
Board Chairman John Eaves says the potential development, code-named Project Jasper, would bring a minimum of 700 jobs to the area.
“This is a major economic breakthrough for the county as well as the region,” Eaves said.
The developer is eyeing a 297-acre parcel just north of Fulton County Charlie Brown Airport for an estimated $150 million warehouse and distribution center.
The memorandum is scheduled to be presented to the commissioners at the Sept. 18 board meeting.
