The cost of gas is still going down in metro Atlanta, for now.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded in metro Atlanta is $3.49.

“That’s about three-cents less than last week,” says AAA spokeswoman Jessica Brady.
It’s also down 27-cents from this time last year.
However, this downward trend is probably going to come to an end sometime this month, according to Brady.
She predicts prices are going to rise before May, partly because of an increase in demand, and better-than-expected economic report.
“This past Friday, we had an Exxon Mobil pipeline go off-line after an oil spill. That transported about 90,000 barrels a day to the Gulf Coast. So that could impact our prices in the coming days and weeks,” says Brady.
The state-wide average is $3.50. That’s down two-cents from last week and 22-cents from last month.
