GBI director talks combating crime, top priorities for 2022
Vic Reynolds, the director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, says he’s confident that whoever is responsible for making a series of bomb threats at several historically Black colleges and universities in Georgia and across the country will be bought to justice.
“As the director of the GBI, we are committed to assist in any way we can,” said Reynolds, who was a guest on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.” He confirmed that local authorities, as well as the FBI, are currently leading the investigation into the threats.
Reynolds also talked with program host Rose Scott about efforts to combat crime, GBI’s state crime lab backlog, the agency’s need to hire a doctor for Macon’s Medical Examiners Office and his top priorities and outlook for 2022.
