Georgia History: Peace in the Gate City

Visitors to Piedmont Park have surely seen the monumental statue standing just inside the 14^th Street entrance, overlooking the playing fields.  It was dedicated on October 10^th, 1911.  We met with Dr. Tim Crimmins, Director of the Center for Neighborhood and Metropolitan Studies at Georgia State University, to learn about the story behind the monument.
