Georgia is officially now — partially — open for business.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp allowed hair salons, barbershops, tattoo parlors, bowling alleys and massage spas to open Friday. Starting Monday, restaurants — for in-dining service — and movie theaters could also reopen, as long as employees and patrons follow proper social-distancing and hygiene guidelines.
Still, as those employees return to their jobs, some people still have questions regarding how to navigate the state’s unemployment system.
On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Georgia Department of Labor Commissioner Mark Butler joined host Rose Scott to answer listeners’ questions regarding applying for and receiving jobless benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
