The Art of Teaching” series on “City Lights” features Georgia educators whose dedication and creativity make a lasting impact on students, often turning their passions into professions. This installment spotlights Dr. Mindy Stombler, principal senior lecturer on the faculty of Georgia State University’s Sociology Department.

Her work illustrates that pedagogy, the practice of teaching, is an art form.

Stombler has won numerous awards for her contributions to teaching and mentoring. In this interview, Stombler joins “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to speak more about the art of teaching.

“I’m going to be trying to connect with my audience, anything I can do to maintain their attention and help them learn,” Stombler says.
