Global Case Competition Challenges Students Interested in Global Health

The number of students enrolled in global health programs in U.S. and Canadian universities doubled in just three years, a 2009 study of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health showed.

Today, more students than ever are choosing career paths that address health disparities in developing nations.

This weekend, teams of students interested in global health gathered at Emory University for its ”Global Health Case Competition,” representing some 23 universities and four countries.

The mission– come up with a comprehensive solution to a hypothetical global health problem.

First place went to the team from Emory University.

Boston University placed second.
